He starts with asking you to send him a photo of something you would like to make a print of and he gives considerate feedback. He knew which image would turn out best. Even at the welcome to his artist studio, I knew I was in for a great Airbnb experience. Frank shows you the tools and has everything ready. Frank’s passion for printmaking is evident. He offers a bit of art history of printmaking and references to artists like Rembrandt and Picasso only to give context to why printmaking is so special and how there are many types. Once I finished carving my plexiglass and it was ready, Frank had the rest ready for press. He expertly spread the ink and set up the paper. Then we rolled it in through the press, and out came my finished illustrative work. I was so pleased with the outcome. And you will too. This is a definite must do experience.
